is based on VSAT equipment ranging from
1,2 m to 4,5 m antennas and covers full
duplex data communication bandwidth ranging
from 64 Kbps to 9 Mbps.
Broadband
Almco
IT & Telecom broadband is a one-way
advanced high-speed Internet over Satellite
Service using high- density modulation.
Global Internet Access is received through
Almco IT & Telecom.
Customers
of Almco IT & Telecom Broadband are
Media Institutions or Governmental organizations
who need 1Mbps or more as down-Link from
Internet. Almco IT & Telecom Broadband
can be combined with Almco IT & Telecom
Link for Up-Link over our satellite system
(Dedicated SCPC link). Almco IT & Telecom
Broadband supports data communication using
Satellite capacities from various satellites
and downlink facilities based on Receive
Only antennas and high speed modems.

Voice over IP
The
IP-voice technology has finally enabled
reasonable quality of the voice service,
and can be effectively integrated with the
ordinary Internet traffic. The Voice traffic
in our VoIP solution is based on IP and
will be terminated through Telenor international
Exchange in Oslo, Norway, therefore we can
guarantee the highest quality of our voice
service.
The
development within the IP-voice area has
been very fruitful and expanding. There
were a lot of commercial products released,
which enables the integration of IP-voice
into an existing IP data-stream.
The
ISP Network has for a long time experimented
and tested IP-voice CISCO routers together
with VSAT technology with
very good results and experience. These
routers offer primary and basic rate ISDN
as well as analogue interfaces for connection
of PBXs or stand alone phones.
